The Three-Piece Suit

We’ve all had a case of the Monday’s. This week, our wardrobe did too.
Gwyneth and I set out a short-sleeve DvF and metallic flat sandals on Sunday night, but we had to change course after walk #1 of the morning, when we realized it was pretty chilly out. After scrambling to find a second option, Gwyneth surprised me with a polite request urgent demand to go out again. This is when the sky opened up, and we both got drenched. Soaking wet, running late and with half the closet strewn on the bed, our third option was a real let down. A too-casual-too-safe-totally-boring-I-just-want-to-go-home-and-change kind of let down, but frankly, it was a miracle I arrived at work wearing two matching shoes. Let’s count our blessings instead.
So after the aforementioned outfit fail, Gwyneth and I thought it was crucial to shop our closet and step it up on Tuesday. What better way to do that with the three-piece power suit? Well, our version of the three-piece power suit. While almost everything we wore falls into the “oldie but goodie” category, we’ve got similar blazer, tank and skirt options for you to shop from.

    • Thank you, Jessica! The skirt isn’t in stock any longer (boo hoo), but there are so many alternatives out there other than the one we gave in the post. Do you use shopstyle.com? (So dangerous!). We typed in “high low skirt” and found way too many alternatives that we were crazy for!
