A few years ago I saw Johnny Depp in line at NYC pizza parlor at 3 am on a Saturday night. As far as celebrity sightings go, I didn’t think that one could ever be beat. I was wrong.
Last week at BlogHer, I got to meet a few home bloggers who Gwyneth and I consider celebrities. Kelly from Eclectically Vintage, Kelly from Live Laugh Rowe and Rhoda from Southern Hospitality helped me navigate my first conference, gave me great advice on blogging and filled me with inspiration on the home front.
Back at home, Gwyneth was disappointed that I wouldn’t sneak her into the conference. But I made it up to her when I came home at the end of the last day, and Rhoda from Southern Hospitality was with me! While I ordered pizza, Gwyneth gave Rhoda the tour, and we both loved every minute of our visit. And today, Rhoda was kind enough to feature our space on her blog!
Gwyneth has never been more content!

Just found you via Rhoda and you are a doll! What a charming apartment you have and your dog is precious!
I’ve quickly added you to my ‘favorites’ blog list!
Enjoy your weekend!
Hello sweet friend! I was as tickled silly to meet YOU
I wish I had made that trip back to your apartment with you and Rhoda… I’m off to see you featured there, but had to say a quick hello! Hugs!!
p.s. Putting me in the same sentence as the word celebrities seems so ridiculous, but I kinda LOVE it {giggle}
What a great time I had meeting you too! Just wish I could have met Gwyneth but don’t worry … I’ll be back. After all we still need to hit that famous dumpster together!
Kelly
Came from Rhoda’s blog. Love what you’ve done. The door is wonderful. Have you tried submitting to Apartment Therapy’s Smallest Coolest contest. You’re definitely a “Contendah”
Hey, Meredith! Oh, I love how that pic turned out of me and Gwyneth. she is my new friend too, precious. I’m so glad that I came over for a tour and pizza, it was truly a highlight of my NYC trip. You are a sweet friend and I loved meeting you. I hope you’ll come to Raleigh for that Southern bloggers conference, it would be great to see you again! xoxo
Yours and Rhoda’s blogs are two of my must reads. Love you both and hope to meet you in person. Gwyneth too, of course (I’ll bring Boogie)!
Wow, we are in some good company! We are dying to meet you and Boogie in person too!!

I just took the tour of your apartment over at Rhoda’s blog and it’s beautiful! You have implemented so many great ideas and your use of space is amazing! I am so happy to be introduced to your blog.
Hi Lisa! We’re so glad you found us because we just checked out your blog and are drooling over all your recipes! Cannot wait to try MANY of them out! Thank you for the sweet words about our space – you’ve made our weekend!

Meredith, I’m star struck … and this is coming from a woman who spent an entire day sitting back stage at Carnegie Hall with Lauren Bacall as we poured over the PSA words I wrote for her to say!
And please come to the Southern Bloggers Conference in October. I’m going. Seriously. Tickets have been purchased and airline reservations have been made …
Linda
Linda! We are dying to make it to Southern Bloggers Conference. (Well, I’m dying to go, and Gwyneth is dying to get home to be spoiled by her grandparents!) We’re trying to figure out if we can come for the second day only – I can’t take that Friday off
So fingers crossed!!
Thank you for your constant encouragement. We love you!

mk & Gwynnie
Just found your blog via Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. Enjoyed the tour of your NYC space. Have you ever considered a children’s book about your adventures in NYC with Gwyneth? Young girls with BIG dreams would love it and the illustrations would be beautiful!
Samantha in Tennessee
Hi Samantha from Tennessee! So glad you found us! You know, we can’t say that we’d considered a children’s book about our adventures, but that sounds like a lot of fun! I hope one day we can share our NYC story on a larger scale – maybe that’s the big idea! So glad you found us! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

SO awesome!! I even told my husband, “Rhoda is in her kitchen!”
I got to meet her at Haven…what a remarkable lady. Excited for your feature!!
HA! That’s what I had on repeat in my head when Rhoda was here! That and “why didn’t I clean and restyle every square inch of this apartment yesterday?” Thank you for sharing in the excitement!
xoxo,
mk & Gwynnie

I am in love with your plate wall! I read Rhoda’s feature on you as well and am so glad to have found your blog! Since I am new to blogging, I am addicted to reading the great ones! Just like you mentioned in the beginning about checking in several times a day to see if your friend had posted something new! Yeah, that’s how I am right now! LOL! I’ll be stalking your page now!
Hi Sachi! So glad you found us too! Stalk away! Gwyneth and I are headed over to stalk your blog now! Happy Sunday!
