To quote Julia Roberts’ character in Steel Magnolias, “my colors are blush and bashful.” Having a wardrobe full of pink pieces makes Spring and Summer dressing a dream, but if Gwyneth and I don’t find a way to make them work year-round we really won’t have a thing to wear. Balancing a few of our pink pieces with ones that “speak Fall” keeps us from being arrested for indecent exposure the other half of the year.
Even if you don’t believe in pink like we do, you’re bound to have a few favorite items meant for warmer months. We recommend pairing Summer staples like tissue tees and peeptoe pumps with Fall fundamentals like blazers, cords and tweed. You’ll wind up with a polished prep school look and a higher inventory for shopping in your closet.

Mer – first, let me say you look great! I am loving the bangs – good decision. Secondly, I have been out of touch and just caught up on the last two weeks – and, well, that effing sucks. All I can say is that when I have been in dark places – I knew there were worse places, but for me these were bad – a light did finally appear and I ended up happier and in a better place. I am glad you have a great family and good friends – lean on them if you need to, for surely one day they will need to lean on you. Hang in there – lots of people are sending good thoughts your way.

I think that blush and bashful line is one of my all time favorite movie lines! Right up there with nobody puts baby in the corner!
