After caucuses, campaigns and a few very heated debates on the issue, it appears the public remains firmly divided. We know it’s a personal question, but we want to know which side you’re on when it comes to “Leggings Are vs. Leggings Aren’t Pants.”

It depends on your shape. If you can pull them off as pants, like you can, GO FOR IT!
Lori, you are so sweet. It’s all smoke and mirrors – We think the liquid leggings are more flattering than the standard cotton ones! And heels definitely help too!

I don’t know what I think about them…love them period! I am CRAZY for that necklace you are wearing!
You are so beautifully statuesque, Meredith, I can hardly STAND it!!! What I wouldn’t give to be tall like you! Rock it, girl!!!
You are too much! Thank you! But it’s all smoke and mirrors! We think the slight shine to the “liquid leggings” is more flattering than cotton leggings. And with these skyscraper-wedges, anyone can look statuesque! But thank you! You are so sweet!

Love the outfit! My opinion is that if you can see your underpants through the leggings when you bend over – don’t wear them as pants!! Otherwise, why not be comfy and cute at the same time?! Your outfit looks great, hope you’re getting through the storm!
YES! Mer, you are absolutely right! No underpants sightings allowed! HA! Thanks so much for the sweet words on the outfit and for thinking of us! We were so lucky to have no damage, and our time without power wasn’t too bad! It just came on about an hour ago, so we have the heat cranked up, the TV at full volume and every light in the apartment on! Making up for lost time! Big hugs and kisses from both of us!

Definitely pants! Hope you and Gwyneth are doing well……like most of the country, I am watching the storm on CNN. I would love it if you would share what’s happening in NYC from your perspective. How are most people coping and how has the storm changed your everyday life?
YAY! Pants it seems it is! Thank you so much for thinking of us! We just now got power and turned on the TV. Cannot wait to zone out in front of it for the next several hours (after a shower!)!
NYC was pretty much completely normal above 34th Street. Below 34th Street (where we are), people have looked and smelled like they haven’t showered for days (which they haven’t) and have been acting like they might lose their minds at any given moment (which we think is totally fair – we were in the same boat!) Thank you again for thinking of us!

I think leggings are the equivalent of footless tights, not pants. I think they should be worn with a dress or skirt.
Katie! Thanks for weighing in! So many cute ways to wear with dresses and skirts! We’re going to put a few outfits together with your inspiration!

I think the key question is: are the leggings completely opaque. If they are leather/faux leather type opaqueness then yes, they can be pants, but otherwise a definite no!!
Yes – the opaque issue is key. Otherwise they are not leggings; they are tights! We think that’s a definite no-no! HA!

Pants! That being said, I think people should stick to leggings that are thick and dark. A shirt that covers half or more of your butt is important too. Hope your cute apartment survived the storm!
Yes! So glad to see y’all agree they can be pants (with some important considerations as you mentioned!).
Thanks so much for the well wishes – we just got power back on! Hallelujah!

I think if you can wear them as pants, you should do it…and you def. can. You look amazing!! I wear them as pants also but just have to find longer shirts to cover my arse. And I am dying over that necklace. Hope you and G are safe and sound after that storm!!!

Aww, thanks, Elizabeth! Definitely agree that it’s nice to have a little something covering the tush! As for the necklace – could not stop thinking about it while we were on the wait list at BaubleBar! Such a happy surprise when it arrived last week! Thanks so much for the well wishes and for thinking of us – we are safe and sound and so thankful that our building wasn’t damaged!
