It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere

A cocktail dress at 10 am on a Monday, white after Labor Day and a brown clutch paired with black boots – let no fashion rule go unbroken.

Let’s get real – when you glue 10 yards of feather trim to a shift dress like we did, you’re gonna find a way to make it work all day, any day. Plus, it’s five o’clock somewhere. We’ve already covered wearing white after Labor Day here and here, so that leaves us with coordinating your bags and shoes. While can we appreciate the attempt to rationalize buying a new handbag with every footwear purchase and vice versa, it’s complete nonsense. If anyone ever suggests you do this, please correct them. Then let them know that women can vote these days too.

First of all, I think that purse would go with anything. Secondly, I think your boots match the dog and the purse matches the rest of the sweater… too technical? Sorry! This may be my fave yet, love it with denim. Just completes the look.

  2. Love this whole outfit and totally agree that you can do black and borwn because your sweater has both…but even if it didn’t, still looks fab!

  3. Good lord that skirt is amazing!!!!! Love the second pic so much. Love this outfit!!

Thanks, Elizabeth! The skirt is actually a DIY dress, and could not be easier to make! No sewing required!
      Make one for yourself!
